A special welcome to everyone joining us in worship at Kingston today.
Matthew 13:1-9,18-23
“You don’t know what you don’t know…”
This is true of everyone. Nobody can respond to something appropriately if they’ve never heard about it before.
So, what’s your good news? What has the creator put you on this earth to spruik?
For me, it is Christ’s work of reconciliation, just like it says in the Basis of Union. Not just between God and people but between people and people and peoples and
peoples… Like first and second peoples in these lands we now call Australia. And I do thus spruik, because I’m passionate about it.
Does anyone listen? Yes!
Does everyone listen? Nope.
Some people will listen a bit, some people will listen a lot and their lives will change forever. Other’s will not retain a single word and will go on with their lives as though
they never met me. But that’s the great thing about Jesus’ teaching here… It’s not my problem, and neither is it yours. Leave that to God.
Jesus just calls you to sow.
Otherwise, people will not know what they don’t know.
