A special welcome to everyone joining us in worship at Kingston today.

John 9:1-45

““I see…”, said the blind man…”

This was a favourite saying of one of our high school teachers. I remember saying it to my wise ol’ Grandpa who had quite a chuckle over it, adding “when he couldn’t see at all…” Or could he? Well, thanks to Jesus’ magic spit mud, he could indeed. It was everyone else, particularly the educated, privileged and powerful that had short sightedness. “Seeing is believing”, right? Evidently not, despite evidence being the quest of everyone hearing of this amazing tale.

And yet it’s there in spades.

So, the blind man sees the Messiah, and the seeing men remain blind…

How is our eyesight lately?
