“You want the truth???
You can’t handle the truth!!!”
Or I wonder whether this is what Jesus was advising the disciples as he tells them of the Spirit that is to come. Were they ill equipped to be able to process and fathom the mysteries of God before the Spirit descended upon them at Pentecost and birthed the Christian Church?
It is the Spirit who is the presence of the Word after Jesus’ ascension. She’s the conduit of truth, the professor of all divine wisdom. Without her we can’t handle the truth because she is the vessel and personification of it all.
What is truth?
The truth is that God is one. God is three in one.
God is love.
You can handle that truth for sure…
Especially in the SPIRIT!!!
